About Entrance
Entrance was written by two programmers who live about 60 miles apart in California and collaborate using Subversion.  We are professional programmers and have been on award winning software teams, more than once.  We met while developing software for the Borland JBuilder R&D team.  Here is our contact info :

We have adopted a business model a lot like MySQL or AutoDesk in their early days.  The idea is for a small number of developers to write interesting software and retain ownership, which makes us different from the “crowdsourced” model some other open source projects adopt.  If you are a Java, PHP or SQL developer who finds this interesting, please get in touch.

Dual Licensing Model
Entrance Community software is released under the GPL, version 2.  OEMs, ISVs, VARs and other distributors that combine and distribute commercially licensed software with Entrance and do not wish to distribute the source code for the commercially licensed software under version 2 of the GNU General Public License (the "GPL") must enter into a commercial license agreement with dbEntrance Software.

Entrance IDE is released under a separate license.
